Wet Cupping vs. Dry Cupping: What's the Difference?

Dry cupping places suction cups on the skin only — no incisions are made. It is the gentler option and a common first experience with cupping therapy.

Wet cupping (hijama) adds very light superficial skin incisions beneath the cups. It is a traditional practice that requires strict hygiene — at Al-Ihsaan every item that touches skin is single-use and sterile.

Neither technique is a medical treatment or cure. Clients book cupping for relaxation, muscle tension and traditional wellness reasons. Your practitioner will tell you plainly if a service is not a good fit for you.
